McDonald’s ‘Airport’ Creative
A McDonald’s cinema promotion with the legendary James Rouse directing.
TUI ‘Packed Differently’ Creative Director
Giving TUI’s not-so-sexy traveller information some personality was a challenge. But by packing the information into conversations had between different travel bags, we’ve created a campaign vehicle that’s been able to sell even the driest information with wit and personality.
We’ve puppeteered bags on location in TUI resorts. We’ve created award winning bespoke social content by treating bags as travel influencers. And we’ve imagined them having chats as inanimate objects in airports.
Department For Transport Creative
I was fortunate enough to work on the DFT account for several years and produce numerous campaigns for them, tackling a variety of road safety related issues.
The following OOH and ambient campaigns won individual creative awards and also contributed to an IPA Effectiveness Silver as part of a campaign that helped the government prevent thousands of deaths.
TUI x Ant & Dec Creative Director
Post Covid, TUI needed to win back trust in customers, specifically in the north of England. We brought in Ant and Dec to star in a ten-part social series in which they spread a bit of holiday happiness in their own inimitable way.
This content was ludicrously successful for the brand as as it reached a massive online audience.
McDonald’s ‘Wedding Day’ Creative
Weddings bring people together. So does McDonald’s. A perfect match for a big brand film.
Aussie Haircare ‘Knots’ Creative
Print that highlighted the untangling capabilities of Aussie’s Miracle range.
NHS ‘Lifecheck’ Creative
Lifecheck was an online assessment tool set up by the NHS to help teenagers, parents, and people in mid-life find answers to the difficult questions they might have around their physical and mental health.
Striking portrait photography gave the campaign maximum power and engagement.
Homebase ‘Paint Charts’ Creative
Paint colours famously have daft names, which made them the perfect vehicle for this poster campaign promoting Homebase’s in-store cafe.
Skoda ‘Whatever Drives You’ Creative
This brand film captured the visceral excitement of the Skoda brand and spoke to some of the more unexpected aspects of what they do.
Freeview ‘Balloons’ Creative
The Freeview ‘Balloons’ campaign ran over several years. Here’s the spot that launched the ‘How Good Is That?’ platform and a second spot that captured the joy of watching live sport.
Daz ‘Summer Flower Power’ Creative
A new scent, an old masterpiece, a nice bit of print.
Coop ‘Unpredictable Summer’ Creative
A tight script, Thirty Two directing, a neat edit and the voice of Vas Blackwood, captured the joy of an unplanned Summer day with The Coop.
McDonald’s ‘Lonely Hearts’ Creative
Charming brand film for McDonald’s.
Lindt ‘West End Show’ Creative Director
When Lindt opened a new flagship store in the heart of Piccadilly, we went big. Turning the Piccadilly Lights into a full scale digital theatre facade that lit up London and drew massive crowds for the opening weekend.
TUI ‘Live Happy’ Creative Director
Repositioning TUI as Europe’s ultimate ‘travel enrichment company’ was a five year project.
First, the re-launch campaign set out our stall as the ‘Live Happy’ brand. With a new look and feel that ran though every touchpoint, and a new TOV that spoke to travel truths and emotional insights.
Then a succession of integrated campaigns showed off TUI’s other holiday offerings, like city breaks, scenic getaways, ski holidays and global tours.
With multiple international clients across multiple European markets, and deliverables lists that ran through everything from AV to OOH, bespoke social, radio, retail spaces, airports, even airplane media, this campaign has been huge. A big challenge but a lot of fun.
Here is a very top line view of a campaign that would otherwise take six thousand years to look through.
